Gnoma [55]

Approximately 74 percent of adults in the United States are overweight. BMI

is known as body mass index and it is calculated by

BMI= weight/height

BMI = kg/m²

Body mass index helps to determine if a person is overweight or

underweight. Being over weight means having a BMI of 25-29.9 while

having below 18.5 means being underweight.

Recent studies have however shown that approximately 74 percent of adults

have a BMI of greater than 25 which means they are overweight.

Which two other systems of the body is the lymphatic system most involved with? Check all that apply. circulatory system immune
sp2606 [1]

Answer:

The answers are circulatory system and immune system.

Explanation:

In order to know more about the answer, it is best to learn what a lymphatic system is.

Lymphatic System- This is also known as "lymphoid system." It functions as a part of the body's circulatory and immune system. It consists of<em> lymphatic vessels, lymphatic organs and the lymph.</em>

Lymphatic Vessels- These are thin-walled vessels that carry the lymphatic capillaries. The lymphatic organs include the <em>tonsils, adenoid, spleen and thymus. </em>

<u>The Function of Lymphatic Vessel</u>

- It functions to transport the "lymph," a clear, colorless fluid which contains the white blood cells (these are also called leukocytes).This transportation function explains the lymphatic system being involved with the circulatory system in the body.

Circulatory System- This is the system in the body is responsible for blood flow, oxygen, nutrients and hormones. It also involves removing unwanted things, such as waste products in the body.

<u>The Function of the Spleen</u>

The spleen is one of the lymphatic organs that has an important role. Once it detects an invader in the body's blood such as virus or bacteria, it starts producing white blood cells. These are also known as<em> "leukocytes." </em>

The white blood cells help the body fight infection and other foreign invaders. This clearly explains the lymphatic system being involved with the immune system in the body.

A physician orders D5W at 600mL over 10 hours and you are using a 20gtt/ mL IV administration set. What is the drop rate in gtt/
Pavel [41]

Answer:

IV Drip rate = 20.00 gtts/min (drops per minute).

explanation

if the IV Drip rate = (1500 ml * 16 gtts/ml) / (12 hours * 60) = 33 gtts per minute. Considering that intravenous fluid,be it a certain substance of just glucose, needs to be given at a specific rate, this has been decided to be measured in ml/hour or drops per min.
