Some say that the the story is more effective in text than in film because the film is a bit inconsistent and it provides some flows which do not help the story line. The film might be seen as funny but that does not mean it follows the line of the text.
They do this to make it more interesting and enchanting. It seems that "funny moments" take over and so the action in lost in the plot. The book however is the bare none of what the story is about, and is much more descriptive about what the reader needs to know about the story and plot.
