Hi,

so the question is saying that Hannah has 728 pieces of candy. That is the total amount of sweets she has. Then it says that she splits the candy ("She puts the same number") evenly between 26 goody bags- basically dividing by 26.  So it would be 728 divided by 26. And you wouldn't count the left-over candies as a bag because each bag has to have the same amount.
