Answer - Bacteria can live in hotter and colder temperatures than humans, but they do best in a warm, moist, protein-rich environment that is pH neutral or slightly acidic. Some bacteria thrive in extreme heat or cold, while others can survive under highly acidic or extremely salty conditions.

<u>Covalent bonds:</u>

  • Have a definite shape.
  • Have a low melting point.
  • At room temperature they are in a liquid or gas.
  • They occur between two non-metals.

<u>Ionic bonds:</u>

  • Have no definite shape.
  • Have a high melting point.
  • At room temperature they are solid.
  • They occur between a metal and a nonmetal.
