Nativism is a manner of doing politics with the main aim of protecting the interests of the native inhabitants of a certain territory over inmigrants that might arrive to those lands. In conclusion, it is a political viewpoint that is explicitly positioned against inmigration and would work to restrict the arrival of such population flows.

Nowadays, it conforms an important political issue in many developed countries, and it is a widely-used approach mainly by right-wing political parties and leaders.

Nativism is commonly confused with nationalism and patriotism. While patriotism is simple devotion and loyalty to one's country, and nationalism defined as prioritizing the nation's self-interest, nativism is more divisive.

Nativism is a policy that focuses on protecting the interest of native inhabitants of a country, by prioritizing native citizens over immigrants and outsiders.

Why was using local governments to control a colony a logical solution for the british
Scilla [17]
The British knew there would be less resistance by using local governments rather than British rule, and they knew that by using local governments only a handful of British soldiers would be needed to keep the colonists in line, leaving the bulk of the British army to be used were they were greatly needed.

7-year-old Alice is working with clay in art class, and she rolls a round ball of clay between her hands until it becomes a long
iogann1982 [59]

Answer:

Reversibility

Explanation:

Jean Piaget was a psychologist that developed a theory of cognitive development according to which we go through different stages during childhood and adolescence in which our thinking gets more complex until we reach the logic reasoning during adolescence.

One of the concepts that Piaget mentions in his theory is the concept of reversibility, according to which, kids start to understand that the initial conditions of an object can be restored. In other words, we can take an object and change its form but we can also make it go back to its original form and the object will remain the same.

In this example, Alice is working with clay and she rolls a ball of it, then she transforms it into a rope and then she wants it to go back to the shape of a ball again and she knows that this transformation is possible. Alice knows that the first shape the clay had can be restored and the object will be the same. Therefore, she is demonstrating the knowledge of reversibility.
