Answer: The answer is C

Explanation: The Scopes Trial, also known as the Scopes Monkey Trial, was the 1925 prosecution of science teacher John Scopes for teaching evolution in a Tennessee public school, which a recent bill had made illegal. The trial featured two of the best-known orators of the era, William Jennings Bryan and Clarence Darrow, as opposing attorneys. The trial was viewed as an opportunity to challenge the constitutionality of the bill, to publicly advocate for the legitimacy of Darwin’s theory of evolution, and to enhance the profile of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

What impact did the War of 1812 have on American nationalism (national identity)?
Ulleksa [173]
The correct answer should be
Although the conflict was indecisive, it boosted American nationalism because the American army and navy proved they could stand up to the most powerful country in Europe.

It can't be called a decisive victory or a defeat for anyone since the war ended in a stalemate and nothing got resolved. The situation returned to how it was before the war politically, except they didn't want to go to war anymore. This meant that no boundary changes occurred.

How did humanism contradict medieval attitudes toward christianity
netineya [11]
Medieval attitudes toward Christianity, for lack of better terms, was quite prude. They followed everything in the good book (Bible) to a tee and did not stray from it at all. Their whole lives revolved around the church. When the idea of humanism came around in the Renaissance, it changed everything, because painters, scholars, etc. looked back to antiquity, and recovered the ancient's way of art, etc. This theory focused more on humans in the here and now and living life to the fullest, and they were not necessarily completely concerned about living their lives for God so there is a place for them in heaven when they die.
