elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

The production of clay storage pots was a direct result of the agricultural revolution during the Neolithic period.

The Neolithic Period, also known as the New Stone Age, is the final stage of prehistoric human cultural evolution or technological development. The Neolithic period is notable for its megalithic architecture, agricultural practise spread, and use of polished stone tools.

What precisely was the Neolithic Revolution?

The transition from hunting and gathering to agriculture, also known as the Agricultural Revolution, changed humanity forever.

The Neolithic Revolution, also known as the Agricultural Revolution, is thought to have started around 12,000 years ago. It occurred at the end of the last ice age and the start of the current geological epoch. And it forever altered how humans live, eat, and interact, laying the groundwork for modern civilisation.

Hunter-gatherers roamed the natural world foraging for food during the Neolithic period. But then something unexpected happened. Foragers became farmers, transitioning from a hunter-gatherer to a more settled lifestyle.
