Which excerpts from Two Kinds are examples of internal conflict?
rewona [7]

The excerpts from "Two Kinds" which are examples of internal conflict are:

"before going to bed that night, i looked in the mirror above the bathroom sink and when i saw only my face staring back—and that it would always be this ordinary face—i began to cry. Such a sad, ugly girl! I made high-pitched noises like a crazed animal, trying to scratch out the face in the mirror."

"so maybe i never really gave myself a fair chance. I did pick up the basics pretty quickly, and i might have become a good pianist at that young age. But i was so determined not to try, not to be anybody different that i learned to play”

The story “Two Kinds” reflects on the relation of a mother and her daughter who had been brought up in different cultures. Suyuan, Jing-mei's mother wanted her to become child prodigy of America. Suyuan tests her daughter in different activities restlessly. She gives Jing-mei piano lessons too. Jing-mei too tries hard but fails. She becomes upset as she will be the reason for her mother's disappointment. Later, Jing-mei wants everyone and her mother to accept her as she. Her mother was not ready to accept her as she is in reality. There arises many cases in which the characters undergoes conflict with other characters and with themselves as well.

lakkis [162]
There are several different pieces of contrasting imagery that Trumbull uses to describe his vision for the future of nation, but the most important is that he looks to both the past and the future.

Write a speech about a current practice — anything people commonly do in society today
Nitella [24]
I think that throws light on our assumption that there is such a thing as moral progress — we in the West consider ourselves largely more enlightened than our great, great grandparents, who are likely to have been racist, sexist and homophobic (just for starters). But at the same time, the question prohibits us from being smug about this progress and draws attention to our own failings. Yet it does so in a detached way, asking not ‘What are we doing wrong?’ which is likely to make people defensive, but the more roundabout question of what other people in the future might think we are doing wrong (which leaves open the possibility that they are wrong about what we are doing wrong, it removes the idea that we are being judged So that’s what I think I hope that help :)

ANSWER

I think that public money should be spent on keeping our national landmarks up. National landmarks are important because they are historic. Which is why I think that public money should be spent. If public money wasn't spent on national landmarks it wouldn't bring attention or people the city with that landmark. National Landmarks are all great beauty's. National landmarks have a positive influence on lives. They are also something that everyone admires. When people enter saint Louis they see the huge gateway Arch.
