Answer: a- to define the other; b- to reveal the speaker; c- to control circumstances.

Explanation: a- to define the other: in this case, the black speaker is defined by the language imposed onto him by the white man, yet , " he is not allowed" to define himself through his own language. b- to reveal the speaker: a black person will certainly be stigmatised by a white person  when this hears a black man speak. c- to control circumsatances: a person needs to name his reality , and he will do so through his language. A black man is forced to name reality through the white man's language, which means he cannot control his own reality.

What is the line by line analysis of the second coming poem?
aalyn [17]

Answer:

"The Second Coming" is one of W.B. Yeats's most famous poems. Written in 1919 soon after the end of World War I, it describes a deeply mysterious and powerful alternative to the Christian idea of the Second Coming—Jesus's prophesied return to the Earth as a savior announcing the Kingdom of Heaven. The poem's first stanza describes a world of chaos, confusion, and pain. The second, longer stanza imagines the speaker receiving a vision of the future, but this vision replaces Jesus's heroic return with what seems to be the arrival of a grotesque beast. With its distinct imagery and vivid description of society's collapse, "The Second Coming" is also one of Yeats's most quoted poems.
