because the small intestine does not absorb the needed nutrients to support the small intestine. which absorbs the nutrient consumed. sm. intestine has flagilla, that absorbs the needed nutrients. flagilla absorbs the nutrients needed 2 retain homeostasis...also ,many conditions like iliac syndrome.
