Jet001 [13]

Answer:

(9,-5)

Step-by-step explanation:

When you go down, the number will decrease. The vertical position is the Y axis. -3-2=5.

When you go right, the number will increase. The horizontal position is the X axis. 5+4=9

(9,-5)

Determine whether the given equation has one solution, no solution, or infinitely many solutions: 4x+10=2(2x+5)
murzikaleks [220]

if we distribute 2(2x+5), we'll end up with 4x + 10, so in short, the right-hand-side, is really the left-hand-side in disguise.

and since 4x + 10 = 4x + 10, both equations are equal, meaning in short, the system has an infinite number of solutions.

Adult tickets to a basketball game cost $5. Student tickets cost $1. A total of $2,788 was collected on the sale of 1,260 ticket
blsea [12.9K]
Let x as number of adult tickets and y as number of student tickets

x+y=1260
y=1260-x

5x+1y=2688
5x+1(1260-x)=2688
5x+1260-x=2688
4x=2688-1260
x=1428÷4
x=357 adult tickets sold

y=1260-357
y=903 student tickets sold
