They contain more mitochondria.

Energy in the form of ATP is required to pump hydrogen ions against the concentration gradient. Active transport is a mediated process that requires the use of specialized membrane proteins these proteins require energy in the form of avenues and triphosphate or ATP in order to facilitate necessary conformational changes to the large protein molecules

In all eukaryotic cells, mitochondria are small cellular organs bound by membranes, making up most of the chemical energy needed to power the cell's biochemical reactions. This chemical energy is stored inside the generated molecule ATP. Respiration in the mitochondria uses oxygen for the production of ATP in the cycle of the Krebs or Citric acid via pyruvate oxidation (through the cytoplasm glycolysis process).

Bess [88]
D.foreleg

The saphenous veins -- there are two, the great and the small saphenous veins - serve as the principal veins running superficially (near the surface) up the leg.

The great saphenous vein (also called the large saphenous vein) goes from the foot all the way up to the saphenous opening, an oval aperture in the broad fascia of the thigh, a fibrous membrane through which the vein passes.

The small saphenous vein runs behind the outer malleolus (the protuberance on the outside of the ankle joint), comes up the back of the leg and joins the popliteal vein in the space behind the knee (the popliteal space).

What is a distinguishing characteristic of a saturated fatty acid
gulaghasi [49]

Answer: Single covalent bond in the long hydrocarbon chain.

Saturated fatty acids are long chains of hydrocarbon ( with single covalent bond) ending with the carboxylic group (-COOH). This means those fatty acids which possess only single bonds in their chemical structure are called as saturated fatty acids. They are densely packed, which makes them solid at room temperature.

Example- Lauric acid ( present in coconut oil). It has 12 carbon atoms in its chemical structure.

B. Abiotic

Explanation:

The role of flowing water in this ecosystem is abiotic.

  • Abiotic factors in an ecosystem are the non-living factors that shapes an ecosystem.
  • An ecosystem is made up of both living and non-living components.
  • The action of running water is termed erosion and it shapes the land form as seen in the badland.
  • This is an action not related to life and living organisms.
  • It is an abiotic factor.
