We use samples to perform experiments. When sampling, we take test subjects from a larger group often known as "<em>population</em>" or at times "<em>universe</em>".

Sampling is a term we use to describe the process of selecting a small representitive group from a larger population. Sampling can often be divided in its simplest form into:

  1. <u>Random Samples</u>
  2. <u>Non-Random Samples.</u>

Which as their names imply, represent first a sample that is chosen by not specific method and whose probability is equal for the entire <em>population</em>, and secondly a sample chosen based on specific parameters.

Sampling can then become more complex, being divided into more complex methods such as:

  • <u>Systematic sampling </u>
  • <u>Stratified sampling </u>
  • <u>Cluster sampling</u>

etc.

The one thing all of the sampling methods have in common is the fact that they will all draw their samples from one place. This place or aspect from which samples are drawn is known as the <em>population</em> <em>group </em>or sometimes coined as the <em>universe</em>, to represent the group in its entirety.

What is the greatest advantage of using different methods that result in the same outcome?
viva [34]

The advantages of using mixed method are, the pros and cons can be identified and compared for each method. Thus option B is correct.

<h3>What are advantages of using mixed method?</h3>

Mixed methods in research is an advanced form which is basically a combination of quantitative research and qualitative research.

It can help the researcher to gain a more clear and complete picture as it integrates benefits of both methods.

Mixed methods research is used in the behavioral, health, and social sciences, societal research.

Qualitative research has smaller sample size, so mixed methods research is applied for the comparative strength of externally valid quantitative research.

Mixing methods allowed to get findings in detail to the conclusion.

Using mixed methods from different data on same subject can give more credible results.

Thus option B is correct.

Describe three possible effects of genetic drift on populations and/or specific alleles.
vfiekz [6]

Answer:

Genetic drift can result in the loss of rare alleles, and can decrease the size of the gene pool. Genetic drift can also cause a new population to be genetically distinct from its original population, which has led to the hypothesis that genetic drift plays a role in the evolution of new species.

How does adding more substrate effect an enzyme reaction<br><br>PLEASEEEE HELPPPP :(
marusya05 [52]
Increasing substrate concentration also increases the rate of reaction to a certain point. Once all of the enzymes have bound, any substrate increase will have no effect on the rate of reaction, as the available enzymes will be saturated and working at their maximum rate.
