Answer:

organisms create the food from which all other subsequent levels of the food chain get their food, and because they generate the food by the direct conversions of solar energy they are considered the primary food producers for a biosystem. Therefore, plants are considered the primary producers. Approved by eNotes Editorial Team

All of the following are part of a prokaryotic cell except
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer:

An Endoplasmic reticulum

Explanation:

A living organism can either have prokaryotic or eukaryotic cells.

Eukaryotic cells have a defined nucleus and other membrane bound organelles whereas prokaryotic cells lack membrane bound organelles such as mitochondrion and chloroplast.

Endoplasmic reticulum are membranous system that forms a system of flattened sacs in the cytoplasm.

These organelles can only be found in eukaryotic cells and not prokaryotic cell.

How are proteins related to DNA? What con cause damage or a change in DNA, and how does that change the structure and function o
FinnZ [79.3K]

Answer:

hi there, proteins are related to DNA  because DNA carries the instruction for synthesizing  proteins, which can code for a certain amino acids based on the sequence.

Explanation:

A change in  base sequence can be either good or bad. But... Usually... a mutation could be a main factor that changes the sequence of the protein, which causes it to code for a different amino acid than the original. Base pairs could either substituted,  deleted, or inserted, which usually are what a mutation could be caused by or consisted of. This is also known as a gene mutation, which are changes in genes .

hope that helps!!!

How is the p+ bacteria culture treated differently from the p- bacteria culture? (a culture is an isolated population of cells.)
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

  1. The P+ culture contains inserted DNA plasmid while P- culture does not contain DNA plasmid.
  2. The purpose of P- bacteria culture is to take it as plasmid control.

Explanation:

  • There are two groups of bacteria using in the lab; one is control group and second is treatment group. Control group is denoted as P- group while treatment group is denoted as P+ group.
  • To differentiate between these two group we used the culture medium called Luria Broth with addition of an antibiotic ampicillin and the sugar arabinose.
  • The control group (P-) does not have plasmid stay same throughout the process because of absent of sugar arabinose.
  • The treatment group (P+) having plasmid show more growth due to arabinose.
