Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we need to get the amount of change:

The amount of change can either be an increase or a decrease.

It can be calculated as follows:

amount of change =

If the amount of change is positive, then it is an increase

If the amount of change is negative, then it is a decrease

Then, we need to convert this amount into a percentage:

Changing the amount into a percentage can simply be done by multiplying this amount by 100

This means that:

% of change = amount of change * 100

Combining the two steps:

% of change =  * 100

Examples:

The original price of a certain product was $10. It then became $12. Find the % of increase.

% of change =  = 20%

This means that the price increased by 20%

The temperature decreased from 25 degrees to 20 degrees. Find the percentage of decrease.

% of decrease =  = -20%

This means that the temperature decreased by 20%

Hope this helps :)

Given a regular decagon, find the measures of the angles formed by (
Sonja [21]
A decagon has 10 sides (think decade and decathlon). From the center of the decagon we draw the radii and in doing so we take the area of the decagon and divide it into 10 congruent Triangles.

The angles around the center add up to 360 because they form a circle and since there are 10, they each measure 36 degrees. So the answer to the first part (the angle between the radii) is 36 degrees.

Each of these triangles has two equal sides (both radii) so is Isosceles. That means that the base angles are congruent. So the two angles that are left in each triangle must measure the same. Since the angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees, we know that the two remaining angles are together equal to 180-36=144 degrees. Since they are equal in measure they each measure 72 degrees.

Thus the answer to the second part, trhe measure of the angle between a radius and the side of the polygon is 72 degrees.

Greg purchases 1/2 dozens cupcakes for 5.88. Explain how you can determine the unit cost of the cupcakes.
Reika [66]

Answer: $0.98

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2 dozen is equal to 6 cupcakes

Divide 5.88 by 6 to get 0.98

This is the price for 1 cupcake, which is also the unit price.
