Which is in an equation of the line through (0,0) and (-8,-5)?
slava [35]

To finde the equation of the line troughh the points (0;0) and (-8;-5) first you must find the slope of the line. You have to use the next formula:

m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

Replacing the points in the previous formula

m=\frac{-5-0}{-8-0}=\frac{5}{8}

As the line passes trough the origin of coordinates (point (0;0)) the equation is:

y=\frac{5}{8}x

So the answer is y= 5/8 x (option B)

Beginning with the equation x= -90, write the new equation produced by dividing both sides by 10
kobusy [5.1K]

Answer:

x/10 = -9

Step-by-step explanation:

You are given the equation: x = -90

You are asked to divide 10 from both sides. Simplify:

(x)/10 = (-90)/10

x/10 = -90/10

x/10 = -9

x/10 = -9 is your answer.

What is the median to <br> -4 -6 0 -1 -1 -0
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:

-0.5 is the answer

Step-by-step explanation:

ARRANGING THE VALUE IN ASCENDING ORDER

-6,-4,-0,-1,-1,0

N=6(counting the above numbers of ascending order)

Position of median=(N+1/2)th items

=(6+1/2)th items

=(7/2)th items

=(3.5)th items

IF THE ANSWER IS IN POINT YOU SHOULD FIND THE AVERAGE,

3.5th itemsis the average of 3rd and 4th items

Median=-0+(-1)/2

=-0-1/2

=-1/2

=-0.5

Two angles are supplementary. The measure of one angle is 10° more than three times the other. Find the measure of each angle
Marizza181 [45]

The measure of angles are 137.5 degrees and 42.5 degrees

Solution:

Given that two angles are supplementary

Let "a" be the one of supplementary angle

Let "b" be the other supplementary angle

Given that measure of one angle is 10 degree more than three times the other

measure of one angle = 10 + three times the other angle

a = 10 + 3b ---- eqn 1

We know that,

Two Angles are Supplementary when they add up to 180 degrees.

a + b = 180 ---- eqn 2

<em><u>Let us solve eqn 1 and eqn 2 to find values of "a" and "b"</u></em>

Substitute eqn 1 in eqn 2

10 + 3b + b = 180

10 + 4b = 180

4b = 170

<h3>b = 42.5</h3>

From eqn 1,

a = 10 + 3(42.5)

a = 10 + 127.5 = 137.5

<h3>a = 137.5</h3>

Thus the measure of angles are 137.5 degrees and 42.5 degrees

Tatiana [17]

Answer:

u =2

Step-by-step explanation:

5u=18-4u

Add 4u to each side

5u+4u=18-4u+4u
