Why did the colonists first accept and then later reject indirect taxes such as duties on trade?
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

★ Initially, the colonists accepted these taxes because they were lightly enforced by the government. These taxes were also light themselves, and were not a harsh payment to make for imports. When the British government did enforce these light duties and eventually added more direct taxes, the colonists feared that by accepting these, they would lose their property and political rights to the British. In the end, the colonists opposed all taxes imposed on them by the government.

What led to President George H. W. Bush's decline in popularity after it reached an all-time high after the Persian Gulf War?
Evgesh-ka [11]

Answer: Among the factors that slowed George Bush's popularity are rising taxes and rising fuel prices.

Explanation:

George HW Bush was President of the United States of America between 1989 and 1993, during his tenure various events of great importance took place, such as the end of the Soviet Union, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the end of the Cold War and the Persian Gulf war.

In 1992 he launched his political campaign for a 2nd term, however, his popularity had decreased due to the increase in taxes during the last year, to the criticism he received about the handling of the Persian Gulf War and the recession that was entering the country. He also received criticism about the increase in fuel prices as a direct result of the Gulf War.

HELP ME PLEASE!!! how long do you think this'll take
wlad13 [49]

Answer:

That depends, if your physically active it'd take a shorter amount of time or if your less physically active. You might have to do this one and time it, once you finish the workout you can use your time as and average. Ex: I take 15 minutes on the mile run, my average time is 15-16 minutes. But I recommend at least doing all or half of the workout.
