It has affected economy by creating a safer way for an economy to work because the rules are clearly set up and you have to respect them and it's not on a case by case basis. The leisure activities have been reduced since a mass culture has been developed and basically everyone watches it or does it, like now when everyone uses facebook or everyone watches reality tv shows.
