The American President Franklin D. Roosevelt was in office from 1933 until his death in 1945. During World War II (1939-1945), his administration supported Britain and France, while keeping its neutrality. But after the Pearl Habor Attack by the Japanese on December 7, 1941, the American President urged Congress to break American's isolationist policy, and the following day, the U.S. declared its entrance in WW II.
