that power is inherent in every individual and that it was an aspect of all
human relations. Power is the capacity to bring about change through influence.
It is embedded into cultures and systems of power in society such as the family
and tribe.
In the late 20th and 21st Century, new immigrants arrived in the U.S in search of economic opportunities and jobs. The period between the 1980s and 2004 witnessed a heavy influx of immigrants in America's experience where the most populous group of Latinos in the U.S migrated from Mexico. This population has maintained its culture and language and by 2003 the U.S had become home to 39 million Latinos. The strong gains made among the Latino voters in 2004 by President George W. Bush were largely eroded when Republican politicians attacked immigrants harshly.

Abyssinia was a member of the League of Nations and expected the League to sort the matter out. The League responded by imposing sanctions on Italy but the main member states such as Britain and France made deals with Italy and undermined the blockade.
Italy completely conquered Abyssinia and this disappointed Haile Selassie who thought that the League would have done more to protect a member state from agrresion.
