Answer:

Main idea of the text:

Gasoline, diesel, and biodiesel can all be used to run an automobile, however, they are comprised of different substances and can't be used interchangeably to power every automobile.

An appropriate title:

Understanding How Gasoline, Diesel, and Biodiesel differentiate.

Explanation:

The passage contains several key points to understand.

One being the types of fuel, the second being how they power an automobile. Additionally, their flammability, what they are made out of, and how you shouldn't use them interchangeably are all stated. The main idea is the combination of these key points to portray the specific conclusion gathered from the passage.

In the story ''Lamb to the slaughter'', what is the irony in the officer saying, ''Probably right under our noses..''?
Ray Of Light [21]

Explanation:

The officer is supposed to find the criminal. That is (technically) his job. A detective does more in the searching part, though.

Also, a "lamb to the slaughter" means that some prey (lamb) is going to immediately get killed/ slaughtered. Assuming that the criminal is the "lamb" and the "killer" is the officer, the irony is that the officer can not kill the criminal. That the criminal isn't exactly the prey and isn't "sent out to die" .
