I believe that the loop of Henle is the hairpin structure that connects the proximal and distal convoluted tubules. The loop of Henle is composed of the ascending and the descending limb. The descending loop of Henle connects the proximal convoluted tube with the ascending limb of the loop of Henle, while the ascending loop of Henle connects the descending limb of the loop of Henle with the distal convoluted tubule.

Compare AND contrast primary and secondary succession.
Margaret [11]

Answer:

Primary succession occurs following an opening of a pristine habitat, for example, a lava flow, an area left from retreated glacier, or abandoned strip mine. In contrast, secondary succession is a response to a disturbance, for example, forest fire, tsunami, flood, or an abandoned field. In primary succession, newly exposed or newly formed rock is colonized by living things for the first time. In secondary succession, an area that was previously occupied by living things is disturbed, then re-colonized following the disturbance.

Explain E.O. Wilson's theory of Island Biogeography as it applies to environments other than islands physically
fgiga [73]

Answer:

The theory of E.O. Wilson's theory of Island Biogeography was originally developed as island biogeography, to explain species richness of actual islands, surrounded by water.

It proposes that the number of species found in an undisturbed environment is determined by immigration and emigration. According to him, the species richness will be the same if this island will have an equal number of the immigration and extinction or emigration of species.
