Dear Dad,

This is my apology for driving your car out with out permission. I understand that not asking was wrong of me and I give you my word I will do better. I'm truly grateful for all you do for me and I'm sorry to mistreat you and your trust the way I did. I genuinely hope you can forgive me for my poor choices and bad actions. At Gatsby's party, what seems to "start" the guests deciding it is time to leave?
Arte-miy333 [17]

The answer is C.

From this excerpt taken from Chapter 3 of The Great Gatsby: "<em>At two o’clock in the morning, </em><em><u>as husbands and wives argue over whether to leave</u></em><em>, a butler tells Jordan that Gatsby would like to see her.</em>", we may conclude that this was the 'sign' that implies the moment from which the guests started to consider leaving the party, including the main characters at hand (Nick and Jordan), as their leaving is depicted in the outcome of the mentioned excerpt:

''<em>Nick says goodbye to Gatsby, who goes inside to take a phone call from Philadelphia. Nick starts to walk home.</em>"

Identify the sentence parts by placing the red abbreviations in their correct locations. Put parentheses around the prepositiona
Evgesh-ka [11]

<u>Answer:</u>

Here we are given the following sentence which is to be analysed:

"Jason had a birthday party at his favorite Mexican Restaurant"

The subject of the sentence is 'Jason' while the verb or the action word in this sentence is 'had'.

The direct object here is the 'Mexican Restaurant' which answers where the birthday party was. Also, here the subject complement is 'at his favorite' which describes the place.

Write a letter to the author of "Brother in the Land" and discuss the positive and negative aspects of the play script
diamong [38]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

This would be my letter to the author of "Brother in the Land," discussing the positive and negative aspects of the play script.

Dear Mr. Swindells,

I have just read your interesting book "Brother in the Land."

As an avid reader of your work, I would like to share the following comments about your futuristic novel.

First, the positives.

It really caught my attention for the futuristic scenarios described in the story.

The location of the novel, norther England after the nuclear explosion was a good place to develop the story.

Danny, the teenage boy and the main character of the story, is well portrayed.

The Negatives.

The story is not so original. There have been other authors that have written about future catastrophic scenarios due to a nuclear war.

The terror described in the story could be more realistic about what could have happened in a real situation. I think sometimes some exaggerations do not pay the story a good service.

Thank you very much for your work that I respect it so much.

Sincerely,
