Dear Dad,

This is my apology for driving your car out with out permission. I understand that not asking was wrong of me and I give you my word I will do better. I'm truly grateful for all you do for me and I'm sorry to mistreat you and your trust the way I did. I genuinely hope you can forgive me for my poor choices and bad actions. I am not even aware what I would do without you. I love you very much and I'm SO sorry.

Love

Nastasia [14]

Answer:

a. He has found success in many fields, including finance, information technology, and  the culinary arts; but with the publication of his new book, Delacorte can add best-selling  author to his long list of accomplishments.

Explanation:

A clause is a group of words that has a subject and a verb.

An independent clause is a type of clause that has a complete meaning or thought.

A conjunction is a word used to link clauses.E.g However, But, If, etc.

From the options available, the sentence that has two independent clauses that are linked with a semicolon and coordinating conjunction is Option A because the two independent clauses have a complete thought if they stand alone.

Read the excerpt from The Fellowship of the Ring.
stiv31 [10]

Answer: C. The hobbits live together near a great field.

The correct option would be C. Option A assumes that the ropes and poles are there because of a birthday party, but the passage makes no mention of the cause. Option B similarly assumes that Bilbo is the cause of this commotion, which the passage similarly does not state. Option D claims Gaffer Gamgee to be lazy, even though the passage claims he was distracted, and not necessarily lazy. Option C, however, states that the hobbits live together near a field, which is information that is included in the passage.
