I think the film did a very good job making the original text “come alive.” Although there were some noticeable changes, I think these alterations enhanced the original text. For example, the scene of Eliza’s visit to her home gave the audience important insight into Eliza’s mindset. In this scene, Eliza tries to improve her appearance in front of the mirror, which indicates that she aspires to be something more than an ordinary flower girl. In this respect, the film helps to enrich Eliza’s character.
The indirect object usually expressed the beneficiary of an action: for whom or for whose sake was the task performed. Here it's "her" - she is getting the flowers. The flowers are the direct object.
