I think the film did a very good job making the original text “come alive.” Although there were some noticeable changes, I think these alterations enhanced the original text. For example, the scene of Eliza’s visit to her home gave the audience important insight into Eliza’s mindset. In this scene, Eliza tries to improve her appearance in front of the mirror, which indicates that she aspires to be something more than an ordinary flower girl. In this respect, the film helps to enrich Eliza’s character.
My responsibility in my community was always picking up discarded trash on the side of the road. I know it's small but it really helped the people in my neighborhood. I also had to take care of the community garden. :)
