Be able to explain the environmental impacts of moving towards green technology and abandoning older technology.
Flauer [41]

Changing usage from non environmentally safe products to green tech will help bring down global warming and greenhouse gasses. Why do you need a minimum of three Seismic stations to determine the location of an epicenter
IRISSAK [1]
Single seismograph can register the occurrence of an earthquake. Analysis of the waves can yield the distance between the sensor and the epicenter. This describes a circle with the seismograph at the center. ... Adding data from a third station pinpoints the epicenter as the only place where all three circles intersect

Why did Bill Nye pressurize the giant "cloud bottle"? What purpose did this serve?
zubka84 [21]

Answer:

Water molecule is present in air these airborne water molecule are called water vapor, when the molecules are present in air they don't normally stick together as the space is too much.

Bill Nye took a giant bottle and covered it with a stopper and started pressurizing it with a pump to make the molecules come closer and become compressed also it increase the temperature even slightly and that warmth will cause the liquid stick with the smoke particles to go back to forming as vapor.

After that he removed the lid then the air inside the bottle is spread out and it will eventually cool also the kinetically energy is also reduced and that cooled air sticks with dust particle which now forms cloud.

This experiment shows how the clouds are formed and the science associated with it.

Why might you not see as much bacterial colonization of microbes from human saliva on plates cultured at 25oc versus plates incu
GREYUIT [131]

Bacteria need an optimum temperature for their growth, so this is the reason why we might not see as much bacterial colonization of microbes from human saliva on plates cultured at 25 °C versus plates incubated at 37 °C.

Why do bacteria only grow at certain temperatures?

  • The main justification for incubating bacterial cultures at various temperatures is that different temperatures favor the growth of particular bacteria.
  • Most infections and typical ambient bacteria are classified as mesophiles, which thrive in temperatures between 20 and 40 degrees Celsius.
  • An optimum temperature is required for the enzymes to show their activity, and for the division also many enzymes are involved in the process. So, the bacterial culture can be seen at a particular incubation temperature only.
