How did Mrs.Dorling react when the narrator said, “I am Mrs.s’s daughter.”?
vlada-n [284]
Mrs. Dorling acted indifferently when the author said, "I am Mrs. S's daughter," since she didn't want to give her all of Mrs. S's valuable possessions.
Explanation:
This is a question taken from the story "The Address."
When the narrator came to her house, Mrs. Dorling pressed her palm against the door, as if she didn't want it to open anymore.
Her expression was completely devoid of recognition.
She kept silently staring at the woman.
Since the narrator knew about the lady's greediness, The narrator pretended to be unconcerned with reality.

Which sentences below include only prepositional phrases (no participial or absolute phrases and no dependent clauses)?
melisa1 [442]

Answer: The sentences that include only prepositional phrases are "There was no one visible; under him, in the water, the dim shapes of the swimmers had disappeared" and "He could see nothing through the stinging salt water but the blank rock".

Explanation:<u> </u><u>A prepositional phrase is a group of words introduced by a preposition</u>. Generally, a prepositional phrase also includes a noun or a pronoun. The sentence "There was no one visible; under him, in the water, the dim shapes of the swimmers had disappeared" <u>contains two prepositional phrases: "under him" and "in the water"</u>, which have been introduced by "under" and "in" respectively. Furthermore, in the sentence "He could see nothing through the stinging salt water but the blank rock", <u>"through the stinging salt" is a prepositional phrase since it begins with the preposition "through"</u>.

which character said the following lines after caesar's death? friends, romans, countrymen, lend me your ears; i come to bury ca
Savatey [412]
Answer to this phrase is Antony or Brutus.
I'm leaning more towards Brutus. Since after he participated in the killing he then questioned if had done the right thing. Brutus was most definitely a true Roman defender & thought Caesar was going to crown himself king!
Cassius & Calpurnia were co-conspirators in the killing.

I say Brutus! If I'm not correct I'll message you.
