No.

Explanation:

The United States could never work with a universal health care system. The biggest reason would be that the population is far too large- roughly 333 million citizens and millions more illegal aliens the cost would be far too great and unsustainable. Most people turn to Canada and attempt to compare their social and medical system to the US but Canada hold about 38 million residents, which is the about the same as the single state of California. Not to mention the repercussions on the medical care system. (There is a reason so many privatized medical care clinics exist in countries with universal health care systems)
