It meant that the citizens thought it was thwre god given right to move west and set up there

Explanation:

This impacted the native americans who where already in the west as they where angry the white settlers where moving into there land, it was also seen as a fresh start for white americans in poor jobs that thought they deserved a better life, so they moved west
