The work is divided into three sections. Home is where the Heartache Lives deals with a childhood spent witnessing an acrimonious arranged marriage. You Can’t Go Home Again covers the twenty years the narrator spent living in British Columbia while attempting to maintain a distance from the immediate family. Homesick details the narrator’s return to Toronto. Themes of home, language and cultural identity are explored alongside the experience of what it means to witness a devastating disease like schizophrenia and what it feels like to endure a chronically ill family membe
One of my favorite things to do is encourage people to be a better form of themselves, so I have incorporated this in my life goal. My life goal is to impact others. I want to make my mark on the world, so by helping and encouraging others I make a mark in there lives, that is unforgettable. By doing this it helps keeps me in a good mood and it helps me look at the positive parts of life. Encouraging and helping others is one of the greatest part of life.
