PLS HELP ME, I REALLY NEED THIS RIGHT NOW, 50 POINTS, IF YOU ANSWER WITH NO EXPLANATION, OR ANSWER FOR THE POINTS YOU WILL BE RE

PORTED
A marine biologist is studying the growth of a particular species of fish. She writes the following equation to show the length of the fish, f(m), in cm, after m months:

f(m) = 4(1.08)m

Part A: When the marine biologist concluded her study, the length of the fish was approximately 6.86 cm. What is a reasonable domain to plot the growth function? (4 points)

Part B: What does the y-intercept of the graph of the function f(m) represent? (2 points)

Part C: What is the average rate of change of the function f(m) from m = 3 to m = 7, and what does it represent? (4 points)

Answer: This is very little points for this but here we go...

A marine biologist is studying the growth of a particular species of fish

: When the marine biologist concluded her study,  the length of the fish was approximately 9.19 cm

To Find : reasonable domain to plot the growth function

What does the y-intercept of the graph of the function f(m) represent?

average rate of change of the function f(m) from m = 1 to m = 9,

Solution:

m = 0

=> f(0) = 5(1.07)⁰  = 5  cm

the length of the fish was approximately 9.19 cm.

=>

=>

=> m = 9

Domain = [0 , 9 ]

reasonable domain to plot the growth function = [0 , 9 ]

y-intercept of the graph of the function f(m) represent represent initial length of fish = 5 cm

average rate of change of the function f(m) from m = 1 to m = 9

m = 1  => f(1) = 5(1.07) = 5.35  cm

m = 9 => f(9) = 5(1.07)⁹ = 9.19 cm

Change in 9 - 1 = 8 months = 9.19 - 5.35  =  3.84 cm

average rate of change of the function f(m) from m = 1 to m = 9,

= (3.84/8)

=  0.48  cm per month

1 over 5 plus 2 over 5
g100num [7]

Answer:

\frac{3}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Before you add 2 fractions, the denominator needs to be the same. If they are the same, which they are, then add the 2 numerators.

1 plus 2 equals 3.

So the answer is 3 over 5.

Line x has a slope of -1/2. Line y is perpendicular to line x. What is the slope of line y?
eduard

Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

perpendicular means the opposite inverse of a slope. So -1/2 will become 2/1 or simply 2.

opposite means the sign will change, negative becomes positive and positive becomes negative.

inverse flip numerator and denominator.

Solve this equation for x. Round your answer to the nearest hundredth. 0.77 = log x
Alekssandra [29.7K]

Answer:

x ≈ 5.89

General Formulas and Concepts:

<u>Pre-Algebra</u>

  • Equality Properties

<u>Algebra II</u>

  • Exponential to Logarithmic:                                                                             \displaystyle b^m=x \rightarrow log_bx=m

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

<em>Identify</em>

0.77 = log(x)

<u>Step 2: Solve for </u><em><u>x</u></em>

  1. [Equality Property] Raise both sides to the 10th power:                                \displaysytle 10^{0.77} = 10^{logx}
  2. Simplify:                                                                                                             \displaysytle x = 10^{0.77}
  3. Evaluate:                                                                                                           \displaysytle x = 5.88844
