All the colonist which had some colonies under their control and authority had same view about the type of government which will govern all the colonies and that type of government was ''self government''.
This is a form of the government where the ruler who is elected takes all the decisions of the people living in that colony and the colony has control over that colony and it's decision. The ruler also did not have to ask the ''imperial power'' if any.
The representatives didn't concur on numerous things. They had solid authority and a typical reason. In spite of this difference, most colonists concurred that a gathering to talk about a suitable aggregate reaction to British activities was a smart thought.
Colonial governing bodies sent delegates to Philadelphia, and the First Continental Congress assembled in September of 1774. The Continental Congress consented to the Articles of Association on October 20.
These events are characteristics of the Nullification Crisis.
The Nullification Crisis was a confrontation between the state of South Carolina and the federal government over the attempt to declare null and void within the state. The doctrine gained strength with the Southern bitterness over the Tariff of 1828 and the Tariff of 1832 - that slightly modified 1828 one. The South Carolina legislature adopted the Ordinance of Nullification that declared the tariffs bull and void. In 1831 President Andrew Jackson issued his “Proclamation to the People of South Carolina” asserting the supremacy of federal government and warning that disunion by armed force is treason”.
