Please explain why the answer to 5.2 is A, and why is B wrong.
PolarNik [594]

Reason being is because a comma is essentially a pause in a sentence. Sometimes that isn't the case. However, ninety percent of the time its a pause simply think about where a pause should be in any sentence.

To:

Deputy Commissioner of Police

Delhi Police Station

Dear Sir,

LETTER OF REQUEST FOR TRAFFIC CONSTABLES IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL

My name is Sandra Yong, a neena student of class XII Blooms Public School, Dwarka Delhi.

As a bonafide student of the school, I want to draw your humble attention to the road leading to our school. I am deeply concerned about the road because the road has become notorious for fast running vehicles due to the absence of traffic constable to regulate the drivers plying this road.

Sir, I have observed that the school buses and parents who come to drop and pick their children from the school are facing difficulties on this road and this has put them in such an inconvenience and scary position.

With due respect Sir, I want to humbly request and plead passionately that you deploy and post traffic constables on duty in front of the school both in the morning and as well in the afternoon.

This road is in high demand for myself and other students of the school and it is important to protect our lives. Since I believe that Traffic constables are fully trained police officers who focus mainly on roads and the people on those roads, then it is important to post them on this road to prevent an accident on this road.

The need for the traffic constables on this road is numerous and part of it includes that they prevent accident by checkmating the drivers and where there is traffic accident like loss of lives or major injuries, it is the duty of the traffic constables to take report of the accident, to block or close down part of road and direct or redirect vehicles to alternative roads, call the emergency line, ensures that tow trucks are on their way to clear the accident to prevent traffic.

Lastly, it should be noted that one of the duties of you as a Deputy Commissioner of Police is to safe lives and property of the people and ensure adequate measures are taken to protect lives and prevent accident on the roads, and deploy traffic constables on roads to prevent accident, therefore the lives of myself and other students in Blooms Public School and that of other users of this road can be greatly secured if you post traffic constables on this road.

Thanking you in anticipation of my request.

Yours sincerely

Sandra Yong

Discussion Topic Discuss what seems to be the most challenging part of the final, trying-to-get-published" process. Is it writin
blondinia [14]

Answer and Explanation:

The letter and presentation is the most challenging part of the publishing process, because that letter needs to convince the editorial team that the work you wrote has potential. This is because it is in the cover letter that the writer must show the summary of the story, the story as a writer and the relevance of the work in the current market, in relation to the target audience, sales and other elements that are not included in the synopsis.

Obviously, the work can be rejected by the publisher and although this is something sad and discouraging for the writer, there are ways to overcome this moment. Many writers indicate that new writers use rejection to improve their written history, keeping in mind that this is not the right time for publication, thinking positively and believing that the publication will arrive at the right time.
