When aminianadad says if she were my wife if never part with that birthmark
IrinaVladis [17]
Aminadab is a total oddball character. There isn't a whole lot of text devoted to him in "The Birthmark," but what is there speaks volumes. Hawthorne describes Aminadab as "a man of low stature, but bulky frame, with shaggy hair hanging about his visage, which was grimed with the vapors of the furnace" . He is actually a little creepy, if not vaguely sinister. We learn that he isn't capable of understanding the science behind Aylmer's work, but that he can execute all the physical details easily. And then, of course, we have the very direct line.

Select the clause from the drop-down menu to correctly complete the sentence.
Dima020 [189]

Yes, it is B, it is a defining relative clause, notice that without the relative clause the sentence feels empty Only the players are going to get sunburned today.

Defining relative clauses use who/that for people, which/that for things and they are not delimited by commas.

Only the people that/who arrived first can enter.

This the house that/which I used to live in.

Non-defining clauses are just extra comments, optionally they can be removed about the previous noun/pronoun, they are separed by commas and that cannot be used.

Mary, who wears glasses, lives next door.

This country, which was a super power in the past, is still facing amajor economic crisis.
