The Toulmin method has six elements: claim, grounds, warrant, backing, qualifier, and rebuttal. The elements are used in this paragraph are;
<u>Claim</u>: a statement that the author wants the audience to accept as true.
<em>"I believe the cost of drilling is too high."</em>
<u>Grounds</u>: information that the claim is based off of.
<em>"I agree with environmentalists who fear that drilling will disturb the migration of more than 130,000 caribou."</em>
<u>Backing</u>: additional support for the claim by addressing different points related to your claim.
"In addition, experts say that the oil in the area adds up to less than a six-month supply."
<u>Rebuttal</u>: addresses the opposing view to reinforce the original argument.
<em>"Is such a small amount of oil worth the risk drilling poses to the animals?"</em>
Answer:
I decided to write about when I walked in the forest.
Explanation:
As I was walking through the dense forest I could hear the nature, the birds shrieking, the dense air humid and hot just reminded me about that time when I visited the spa and went into the Jacuzzi one hour. I was sweating which made me uncomfortable a little bit, but was the only way to get where I wanted to be, the more I walked the darker it got, I observed bright shining yellow points at the distance, somehow I though those were some of the fantastic animals that lived over there; a certain smell of chlorophyll and dirt made me remember rain smell, above all I was not afraid I was exited of being there.
