4.3 Do you think all students experienced the same exposure to literacy at home while growing
spayn [35]

No, I don't think that all students experience same exposure to literacy at home while growing up.

A preschooler whose home environment provides fewer opportunities for acquiring knowledge and skills related to books and reading is at slightly higher risk for reading difficulties than a child whose home environment provides a richer literacy environment. Singing songs, telling stories, and reading nursery rhymes or children's books expand a child's vocabulary, preparing them for successful reading comprehension when they eventually learn to read.

Literacy development is an essential component of your child's overall growth. It serves as the foundation for succeeding in school, socializing with others, problem-solving, decision-making, developing independence, managing money, and working.

Read the excerpt below and answer the question.
enyata [817]

Answer:

The meaning is this, this boy was vexed by the horrible habit of smoking from the peer pressure of others. The author uses satire to jokingly tell of how much importance chewing tobacco was for a boy of his age. When Twain states " I was not able to learn to chew tobacco. I learned to smoke fairly well, but that did not conciliate anybody and I remained a poor thing, and characterless." he uses words such as "poor thing" and "characterless" to show humor within his writing. Though smoking and chewing tobacco isn't such a humorous subject, Twain uses a good amount of satire to represent comedy in such a serious topic.

Explanation:

Mark Twain uses satire to show humor through his most serious topics. This brings the reader into the story with interest.
