Answer:

Well this is pretty simple

Parralel lines cut by a transversal.

So we have one measurement of 142 which is a

A and B are supplementary (When added up you get 180 degrees)

So basically to find that you can do this

180-142=38

So B is 38

We can now use vertical angles.

A and D are vertical and vertical angles are congruent (equal)

d is 142

B and c are congruent

B is 38 so C is also 38

Now We find EGHF

Techcinally we can just do what i would do which is draw and x between the vertical angles

So if drawn an ”X” you can see the sam exact pattern as for ABCD

Which in this case E is 142

H is 142

F is 38

G is 38

If done the hard way you can use altenrate/same side (interior exterior)/ Corresponing angles.

So Here’s what you need to know

Alternate interior and exterior are equal

Correspnding angles are equal

Same side are supplementary

Thats all you need to know.

Interior is basically BD and EG

Exterior is AC and FH

Correspnding are basically same sides but one is ont he inside and one is on the outside

Ex:

A and E

B and F

C and G

D and H

Same side is EXACLTY what is sounds like, the same side but everything has to be either interior or exterior

(Interior) B and E

(Interior) D and G

(Exterior) A and F

(Exteiror) C and H

Final answers:

A- 142

B- 38

C- 38

D- 142

E- 142

F- 38

G- 38

H- 142

if accrotime guarantees a full refund on any defective watch for 2 years after purchase, what percentage of total
adell [148]

Answer:

A. 0.62%

B. 28 months

Step-by-step explanation:

A. Calculation for what percentage of total production will the company expect to replace

Let x represents the distribution of life times

Let mean be 34 months

Let standard deviation be 4 months.

Based on the information the full refund on any defective watch for 2 years will represent 24 months (2 years *12 months).

First step

P(X<24)

= p(x-mean/ standard deviation< 24-34/4)

= p(z< -10/4)

=P(z<-2.5)

Second step is to Use the excel function to find NORMSDIST(z) of P(z<-2.5)

NORMSDIST(z)=0.62%

Therefore the percentage of total production will the company expect to replace will be 0.62%

B. Calculation for how much the guarantee period should be

First step

P(X<x)=0.06

P(x-Mean/Standard deviation < x-34/4) = 0.06

Second Step is to Use excel function

P(z<x-34/4) = (Normsinv(0.06)

x-34/4 = -1.555

Now let calculate how much the guarantee period should be

x = -6.22+34 months

x = 27.78

x = 28 months (Approximately)

Therefore the guarantee period should be 28 months

There are 10 sweets in a bag.
Valentin [98]

Answer:

See Explanation Below

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Total Sweets = 10

Red = 4

Green = 2

Yellow = 3

Purple = 1

Required

a & b

The question is not properly presented; however the solution is as follows;

A.

Let P(Yellow) represent the probability of selecting a yellow sweet and n(Yellow) represent the number of Yellow sweets;

P(Yellow) = \frac{n(Yellow)}{Total}

P(Yellow) = \frac{4}{10}

P(Yellow) = 0.4

So, whichever letter that shows 0.4 or \frac{4}{10} is the probability of choosing a yellow sweet

B.

Let P(Orange) represent the probability of selecting an orange sweet and n(Orange) represent the number of orange sweets;

Since, there's no orange sweet in the bag;

n(Orange) = 0

P(Orange) = \frac{n(Orange)}{Total}

P(Orange) = \frac{0}{10}

P(Orange) = 0

In probability; opposite probabilities add up to 1;

Let P(Not\ Orange) represent the probability of choosing a sweet that is not orange

P(Not\ Orange)  + P(Orange) = 1

Substitute P(Orange) = 0

P(Not\ Orange)  + 0 = 1

P(Not\ Orange) = 1

So, whichever letter that shows 0 is the probability of choosing a sweet that is not orange
