If Gay and Joy developed a neat Bento box for children. The shape of the containers encourages healthy eating, and it is very popular. How many units will Gay and Joy need to sell to breakeven is: 70,000 units.

First step is to determine the selling price

Selling price = $1,000,000 / 100,000 units

Selling price = $10

Second step is to determine the Variable cost per unit

Variable cost per unit =$700,000 / 100,000 units

Variable cost per unit = $7

Third step is to calculate the Contribution margin per unit using this formula

Contribution margin per unit = Selling price - Variable cost

Let plug in the formula

Contribution margin per unit = $10 - $7

Contribution margin per unit = $3

Fourth step how many units will Gay and Joy need to sell to breakeven

Using this formula

Break even= Fixed cost / Contribution per unit

Break even = $ 210,000 / $3

Break even  =70,000 units

Inconclusion if Gay and Joy developed a neat Bento box for children. The shape of the containers encourages healthy eating, and it is very popular. How many units will Gay and Joy need to sell to breakeven is: 70,000 units.

Answer:

the question is incomplete, but I can give two examples of interest rate being higher or lower:

For example, interest rate is 6%

PV of face value = $400,000 / (1 + 3%)¹⁰ = $297,637.57

PV of coupon payments = $10,000 x 8.5302 (PVIFA, 3%, 10 peridos) = $85,302

Market price = $382,939.57

Second example, interest rate is 4%

PV of face value = $400,000 / (1 + 2%)¹⁰ = $328,139.32

PV of coupon payments = $10,000 x 8.9826 (PVIFA, 2%, 10 peridos) = $89,823

Market price = $417,962.32

Slav-nsk [51]
For the first investment the solution as follows
Annual depreciation
600,000÷6 years=100,000

Net annual cash flows
100,000+155,000=255,000

Present value
255,000×4.11141+16,600×0.50663
=1,056,819.608

Net present value
1,056,819.608−600,000=456,819.608

For the second investment the solution as follows
Annual depreciation
390,000÷8 years=48,750

Net annual cash flows
48,750+60,000=108,750

Present value
108,750×4.96764+24,500×0.40388
=550,125.91

Net present value
550,125.91−390,000=160,125.91

Kevin Oh is planning to sell a bond that he owns. This bond has four years to maturity and pays a coupon of 10 percent on a semi
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

The price of the Bond is $937.9

Explanation:

Price of bond is the present value of future cash flows, The coupon payment and the face value are discounted separately and added together to make the price of the bond. To calculate Price of the bond use following formula

Price of the Bond = C x [ ( 1 - ( 1 + r )^-n ) / r ] + [ F / ( 1 + r )^n ]

As the payments are made on semiannual basis so, all the calculation will be made accordingly

Assuming Face value of the bond is $1,000.

Coupon payment = 1000 x 10% = $100 annually = $50 semiannually

Number of periods = n = 4 years x 2 = 8 periods

Yield to maturity = 12% annually = 6% semiannually

Price of the Bond =$50 x [ ( 1 - ( 1 + 6% )^-8 ) / 6% ] + [ $1,000 / ( 1 + 6% )^8 ]

Price of the Bond = $50 x [ ( 1 - ( 1.06 )^-8 ) / 0.06 ] + [ $1,000 / ( 1.06 )^8 ]

Price of the Bond = $310.49 + $627.41

Price of the Bond = $937.9
