what might an observant Chinese traveler from the Han dynasty era find surprising or offensive in India or the Greco-Roman world
Ratling [72]

Similarities

  • China during the Han dynasty had very structured social hierarchies, with twenty different classes. This somewhat resembled the caste system of India.
  • Arranged marriages were the norm, as was the case in India. Also, divorces were allowed just like in the Greco-Roman world.
  • Social and economic activities were highly gendered in all three countries.
  • Philosophy, arts and literature were very developed in all three cultures.

Differences

  • Buddhist ideas were adopted during this period, which were very different from the religious traditions of the other regions.
  • The Chinese government was highly centralized, while the Greek city-states were closer to a democratic, federal institution.
  • Culinary traditions were very different among the regions because of their different weather.

What can we not look at as being a reason for the struggles of the continent of Africa?
Alexeev081 [22]
Mixed nations and borders. You can use the question itself to get the answer, since imperialism left such a strong legacy in africa, the borders were so defined and the natives were forced to abide by them. So there is no reason for there to be any confusion about what is where.

Why did Spanish started to conquest Peru
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]
Francisco Pizarro and his brothers (Gonzalo, Juan, and Hernando) were attracted by the news of a rich and fabulous kingdom. They had left the then impoverished Extremadura, like many migrants after them. There lies Peru with its riches; Here, Panama and its poverty. Don’t copy and paste, mix it up a bit.
