How does a first-person narrator differ from a third-person narrator? Select all that apply.
UNO [17]

Answer:

Definitely the first one, probably the second and third as well?

Explanation:

A first-person narrator is usually recounting an event, so they definitely use 'I'.

A third-person narrator sometimes knows the thoughts of other characters, depending on whether they're omniscient or not.

A first-person narrator is likely to show bias I think, because they're telling the story from their point of view so they're very likely to share their opinions and stuff. I don't really know, you're gonna kinda have to decide on this one.

A third-person narrator sometimes takes part? I mean, if they're third-person limited then usually it's the POV of a character but from a more detached persona? For example, in the Heroes of Olympus series all the chapters are in third person limited but all the characters take part in the action. If it's third-person omniscient then I don't think they'd be taking part in the action, unless the narrator is like a dude from the future recounting events that happened to his younger self and all that stuff. I don't really know, man.

Someone pls help me I will make you as brain<br><br><br><br> Match the definitions
Lorico [155]

Answer:

Simile ↔ C) My phone slipped through my fingers <u>like</u> butter.

Personification ↔ D) The <u>face</u> of my phone had many <u>scars</u> from being dropped.

Symbol ↔ A) I wanted to wave the <u>white flag</u> after searching for my phone.

Hyperbole ↔ E) My phone <u>is my lifeline</u> to the world.

Metaphor ↔ B) I wouldn't <u>trade</u> my phone <u>for a million </u><u>dollars</u>.

Explanation:

Whatever I underlined is supposed to hint at why each sentence matches the way it does.

For example: Similes compare ideas to each other, sort of like metaphors do, but they use the words "like" or "as" to do so.

Hope this makes sense :)

Which sentences contribute to a sense of hope in this excerpt from "The Story of an Hour" by Kate Chopin? She wept at once, with
ahrayia [7]
The sentences that contribute to a sense of hope are "<span>She could see in the open square before her house the tops of trees that were all aquiver with the new spring life. The delicious breath of rain was in the air. In the street below a peddler was crying his wares. The notes of a distant song which someone was singing reached her faintly, and countless sparrows were twittering in the eaves. There were patches of blue sky showing here and there through the clouds that had met and piled one above the other in the west facing her window."    First of all, she sees trees that are trembling with new life. A peddler was selling his goods. She could hear a distant song which someone was singing, and songs usually mean good spirit in works of literature.
