ich was carried to that length, as to become dangerous to the lives of each party, many of them being much wounded. This contentious disposition continued until the Monday evening following, [March 5th] when a party of seven or eight soldiers were detached from the main guard, under the command of Captain Preston, and by his orders fired upon the inhabitants promiscuously in King Street, without the least warning of their intention, and killed three on the spot; another has since died of his wounds, and others are dangerously, some it is feared mortally, wounded. Was it moral for settlers to move in and set up farms and towns? Why/why not?
Maru [420]

Answer:

Yes. But only on the land that wasn't pre-occupied by the native.

Explanation:

The vast majority of the land in North America at the time was inhabited. Coming to this territory to form farms and towns would not bother any particularly group of people.

The creation for farms and towns itself wasn't immoral.

But, doing so while taking the ancestral land of the locals and forced them to moved away or kill them is considered as 'immoral'. There were plenty of space that hey can occupied without doing so.

mario62 [17]

Answer:

The advantage was that the political ideologies were defended.

Explanation:

A splinter party was made up of politicians who did not have their convictions and political ideologies defended by either of the two existing parties. Thus, the advantage of joining a splinter party was to have your political ideas defended and supported, without being forced to submit to Democratic or Republican ideologies. Thus, there was more political freedom in relation to the positioning of guidelines.
