Answer:

An example of dramatic irony would be if I were at a party and I were to say, "I can't wait to eat this cookie," and people around me knew the cookie was poisoned, that would be dramatic irony. Or if someone were to say, "No harm will come to you here," then harm came to them, that would also be considered dramatic irony.

Varvara68 [4.7K]
The theme of Five Hours to Simla is the big stuck there is in a 4 mile traffic jam which involves some characters like the prson who is driving the truck that does not move until he gets the person who damaged his vehicle and people annoyed because they want to move from that jam and it is not possible. The mood from this story is based on the feelings that the author is trying to make the reader feel, or the atmosphere the author is trying to create to stir the reader's feelings. Setting, theme, tone, and voice affect the mood of the story which basically is frustration. The setting is based on collision of modern and traditional values of the late 20th century in India where a father and a police focus on keeping things moving but a trucker stops all traffic waiting for justice. Why have John and his wife come to stay in
adelina 88 [10]

Answer:

The third option: She suffers from a nervous illness and needs rest.

Explanation:

This is from the Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Gilmore.

The narrator and her husband John went to stay in the ancestral halls so that she could get better from her illness. Proof of this can be seen in the following lines from the story:

'He said we came here solely on my account, that I was to have perfect rest and all the air I could get. "Your exercise depends on your strength, my dear," said he, "and your food somewhat on your appetite; but air you can absorb all the time." So we took the nursery at the top of the house.'

lara [203]

The answer is "He was bad enough in all conscience, but the Devil himself could not temp him to turn slave-trader. Satirical is a synonym for sarcastic. So when the Author says that Tom Walker could not be tempted by the Devil he does not literally mean "The Devil" but he means that he is too morally upright to become a slave-trader.

MariettaO [177]

Answer:

Physical features shared due to evolutionary history (a common ancestor) are said to be homologous. To give one classic example, the forelimbs of whales, humans, birds, and dogs look pretty different on the outside. That's because they're adapted to function in different environments.
