You could write about Frida Kahlo, whose art style can be explained by magical realism (incorporating magical elements into an otherwise realistic depiction) or surrealism (illogical portrayals with the goal of expressing the subconscious). She has several famous paintings, often self-portraits, that you would be able to describe. Finally, you could talk about her uniqueness/influence, in that she is regarded as both a symbol of feminism (she unwaveringly painted the female form) and as a symbol of Mexican indigenous and natural culture (she contributed largely to the Mexicayotl movement, whose aim was to define a Mexican identity).
