What is the cultural lesson of Twain's The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County?
Dominik [7]

Answer:

“The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County” is a short story written by Mark Twain. It was published in November 1865 in the New York Saturday Press. This story preceded the novels that made Twain famous, including The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. For the public in the United States, it cast Twain as a master of humor and dialect.

In the story, a narrator from the East visits a mining camp during the gold rush in California. His friend sent him to find information about a Reverend Smiley. He encounters Simon Wheeler, who begins to tell him a story about a Jim Smiley. Wheeler tells a tall tale about Jim Smiley’s gambling.

Write a 2-3 paragraphs of a experience that you had
Elden [556K]
When I was 13 I had a dog as a birthday present it was a girl and we named her coco. She went everywhere with me we did everything together by the time I was 16 she was old and slowed down and we thought that was from old age. Coco had brain cancer we didn’t know what to do and we went to every vet in our state but nothing was helping. Coco pushed in for another two years till she passed.

I was so upset and devastated that I didn’t want another pet again but I got another dog a Great Dane named Sham rock he’d love coco they would fit in perfectly. Sham rock was the dog that brought me to love animals again and why I’m think about being a veterinarian when I grow up.
