Austin earns $9.75 an hour at a part-time job, and earns $12 each time mowing lawns in the neighborhood. They graph the amount o

f hours worked at the part-time job (X) and the number of lawns mowed (Y) to determine how to earn more than $300. Which type of boundary line should be used in the graph?HELP!

Answer:

$7.25 at part-time job

$9.00 every time lawn mowed

       so he would get 33.33 day so we will just say 33 times to get 300 dollars if he gets $9 for mowing.  And 41.37  hours to get $300 and he would have to use x and y graph to find the boundary line.

What is the reciprocal, multiplicative inverse of -14/15
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

reciprocal = -14/15

                 = 15/-14

multiplicative inverse = \frac{-14}{15} × \frac{15}{-14} = \frac{-210}{-210} = 1

                                    =  \frac{15}{-14}

Write Y=3x^2+6x+8 In Vertex form
vampirchik [111]
ANSWER

The vertex form is

y = 3 {(x + 1)}^{2} + 5

EXPLANATION

We want to write

y = 3 {x}^{2}  + 6x + 8
in the vertex form which of the form

y = a {(x - h)}^{2}  + k

We achieve this BG completing the square.

We proceed as follows,

y = 3( {x}^{2}  + 2x) + 8

We add and subtract half the coefficient of x multiplied by a factor of 3 which is
3( \frac{1}{2}  \times 2)^{2}  = 3( {1)}^{2}

This gives us,

y = 3( {x}^{2}  + 2x) +  3 {(1)}^{2} -3 {(1)}^{2} + 8

We still factor 3 out of the first two terms to get,

y = 3( {x}^{2}  + 2x +  {1}^{2} ) -3 {(1)}^{2} + 8

We now got a perfect square, which factors to,

y = 3 {(x + 1)}^{2} + 5
The equation is now in the vertex form.
