Answer:

C. Some teachers do not converse or interact enough with the students in their classrooms.

Explanation:

Your question: Uses link.

My answer: C. Some teachers do not converse or interact enough with the students in their classrooms.

Why is my answer correct?

Good question! Allow me to explain. I will do this by starting with the process of elimination, which allows us to immediately remove answers that we know are inaccurate.

B states: Students who are allowed to use smartphones in the classroom will not use them appropriately. We can immediately eliminate this one, because the paragraph talks about how students should be able to use smartphones with a teacher making sure they use them appropriately.

D states: Some teachers are unwilling to allow students to interact in their classrooms. This is also false and can be eliminated. The reason for this is the fact that this is stated nowhere in the paragraph. While it does talk about how teachers should make lessons more interactive and try to help engage them more, there is nothing about prohibiting interaction.

A states: It will be easy to help students use smartphones in an appropriate manner in the classroom. This is incorrect because the paragraph states how it will not be easy to make students appropriately use smartphones. It talks about how teachers will constantly have to watch students, be over their shoulders, and converse and interact with them to make sure they are engaged and using smartphones appropriately.

Are we done now that we only have one answer left? The answer to that would be no. We still have to use the passage to confirm our answer was correct.

The paragraph talks a lot about teachers needing to add more student interaction and participation in their lessons. It also talks about them needing to converse them more and help them truly engage in the lesson. This is also what it talks about in option C. Therefore, option C is correct.

Hope you find this helpful! :D

Who is the “malevolent phantom” locked away in the Radley house? What did he do to cause him to be locked away (truth), and desc
cestrela7 [59]

Answer: The "malevolent phantom" is Boo Radley himself. Boo was locked away because he became a troublemaker, but the children believe he was monstrous or was killed.

Explanation: Scout compares Boo Radley to a ghost or a phantom. Boo Radley was locked in the house as a teenager because he was unstable and involved with a group of troublemakers and the family did not want him to go to jail. Then, when he was 33 years old, Boo stabbed his father in the leg with scissors. He was arrested, sent to jail, and once again released to the Radley’s custody—and never seen again. Jem said this, "There was a long jagged scar that ran across his face; what teeth he had were yellow and rotten; his eyes popped, and he drooled most of the time" (Lee 10), which characterizes Boo as a monster. "Maybe he died and they stuffed him up the chimney" (Lee 27) is another rumor.

In Chapter 3 of The Scarlet Letter, how does the magistracy’s act of marking Hester Prynne with a scarlet letter serve to mainta
Mariana [72]

Answer:

The act of marking Hester Prynne with a scarlet letter maintains discipline in the community, as other people become afraid of being similarly shamed.

Explanation:

In Scarlet Letter, Hester Prynne is punished for adultery. Her husband has been lost at sea. Meanwhile, Hester had a relationship with another man and gave birth to a child. For that reason, and because she does not reveal the identity of child's father, she is forced to wear a scarlet letter.

Hester is publicly humiliated, and people want to avoid such a shame. By using Hester's example, the authorities want to warn people what will happen if they not abide by the rules established in their society. The act of marking Hester with scarlet letter is conceived to frighten people.
