The good things for him was that he could offer resources and other valuables to countries to join him since they didn't have them. But the Great Depression also made it hard for Germany to manage to get enough resources during the war. So in answer to your question I don't think that Hitler could've gained any more power because pretty much the whole world was against him and other countries would have more resources to supply themselves (and allies) for the war.
