The Harlem Renaissance was the improvement of the Harlem neighborhood in New York City as a dark social mecca in the mid twentieth Century and the ensuing social and masterful blast that came about. Enduring generally from the 1910s through the mid-1930s, the period is viewed as a brilliant age in African American culture, showing in writing, music, stage execution and craftsmanship.

Greenwood/ African American ladies journalists distributed broadly during the Harlem Renaissance and have been uncommonly productive since the 1970s. This book reviews the universe of African American ladies scholars. Included are in order masterminded passages on in excess of 150 authors, artists, dramatists, short fiction journalists, autobiographers, writers, and persuasive researchers.
