Preterite tense refers to an action that happened in the past and is now finished, therefore
1. Nosostros andábamos rapidamente en la carrera (andamos changes to andábamos, the preterite form for the 2nd person plural)
2. Juan dijo que sí (so, dice is now dijo, to indicate the action occurred in the past and the 3rd person singular form)
3. yo puse el auricular en la mesa (Pongo changes to puse to match the first person singular form and the preterite tense
4. tu le diste una carta a tu amigo. (Das changes to diste in the 2nd person singular form in preterite tense)
5. Nosotros estábamos en la clase de ingles. (Estábamos now substitutes estamos for the second person plural form in past tense)
6. michelle andaba rapidamente en la carrera (anda is now andaba)
7. Nosotros sabíamos la verdad (so sabemos changes to sabíamos to match the second person plural form and the preterite tense)

The Pretérito perfecto (preterite form) is used to indicate that an action has been completed (it has had a beginning and an end point). These can be actions that can be taken as single events, actions that were part of a chain of events, actions repeated a very specific number of times, or actions that specifically state the beginning and end of an action. Therefore, the examples would be as follows:

1. Nosotros anduvimos rápidamente en la carretera (the sentence was in the present form and now has been changed to the preterite form for 1st person plural)

2. Juan dijo que sí (the verb in the present tense "decir" for 3rd person singular has been changed to the preterite form for 3rd person singular)

3. Yo puse el auricular en la mesa ("Poner" in the present form for the 1st person singular has been changed to the preterite form for the 1st person singular)

4. Tu le diste la carta a un amigo ("Dar" in the present form for the 2nd person singular has been changed to the preterite form for the 2nd person singular)

5. Nosotros estuvimos en la clase de inglés ("Estar" in the present form for the 1st person plural has been changed to the preterite form for the 1st person plural)

6. Michelle anduvo rápidamente en la carrera ("Andar" in the present form for the 3rd person singular has been changed to the preterite form for the 3rd person singular)

7. Nosotros supimos la verdad ("Saber" in the present form for the 3rd person plural has been changed to the preterite form 3rd person plural)

Kylie records the weights of 3 objects as shown below. Which 2 objects can she put on a pan balance to equal the weight of a 460
timofeeve [1]

The question is not complete, so i have attached the complete question.

Answer:

The two objects she can put are the paper back and the bar of soap.

Explanation:

From the attached image, we can see that the 3 weights are;

Paperback Book : 343 grams

Banana: 108 grams

Bar of soap: 117 grams

Now, she wants to find which 2 objects she can put on a pan balance to equal the weight of a 460 gram bag.

Now, to get this, 2 of the given objects when added together has to give 460 grams.

Let's add the weight of the paper book and Bar of soap. This gives;

343 + 117 = 460 grams

Adding any other combination of two of the given weights wouldn't give 460 grams.

Thus, the two objects she can put are the paper back and the bar of soap.
