Each team will play with 11 other teams. Hence each team plays 11 games. Hence a total of 11*12 =132 games but since each game involves two teams divide 132/2 = 66 so B

Answer:

x = 51

Step-by-step explanation:

Using Pythagoras' identity in the right triangle.

x² = 45² + 24² = 2025 + 576 = 2601 ( take the square root of both sides )

x = \sqrt{2601} = 51

There are 40 students in a course: 15 freshmen, 8 sophomores, 12 juniors, and 5 seniors. One student is selected at random to at
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

The probability that the chosen student is a junior is \frac{3}{10}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

The total number of students = 40,

In which, freshmen = 15,

Sophomores = 8,

Juniors = 12,

And, seniors = 5,

Thus, the probability that junior student when a student is chosen

=\frac{\text{Total possible arrangement of 1 junior student }}{\text{Total possible arrangement of 1 student}}

=\frac{^{12}C_1}{^{40}C_1}

=\frac{12}{40}

=\frac{3}{10}

Guys, please help me with this problem. Thank you
vagabundo [1.1K]

Ok so the formula for point-slope is:

y - y 1  = m(x - x1)

m=slope

y1 = y point that's given

x1 = x point that's given

The problem says "use the point (-1,-4)"

so we will put it into our equation.

(-1,-4)

-1 is our x, and -4 is our y, now we can put it into the equation.

y - ( - 4) = m(x - (- 1))

Now we need to find the slope using:

\frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}

y2=4

x2=3

y1=-4

x1=-1

\frac{4 - ( - 4)}{3 - ( - 1)}  =  \frac{8}{4}  \: or \: 2m=2

So the answer is..

y - ( - 4) = 2(x - ( - 1))
