C) Steam mops and water filters

Explanation:

A steam mop is a sweeper that utilizes steam to cleanse carpetings and rugs. Unlike a conventional mop, which necessitates cleansing tools such as bleach or surfactant, a steam mop appropriates heat from fumes to sanitize the carpets. A water filter provides clean, salubrious water for cookery, as well as dissipating, at the indulgence of tap water. Water filters diminish the uncertainty of gastrointestinal contamination by more than 33% by hanging cryptosporidium and giardia from drinking pool.

Gender discrimination currently receives “intermediate” fourteenth amendment scrutiny. is this right? should gender receive “str
garik1379 [7]
This really depends on your beliefs in if gender discrimination is as big of a deal as racial discrimination. The 14th amendment is the Equal Protection Clause, it was mainly for the slaves that had been freed in the U.S after the civil war. It basically forbids the states to restrict basic rights of citizens without going through the process of law or being protected by the law. But has recently been used in cases to of gender discrimination.

I believe it is perfectly justified for the 14th amendment to be acted in cases of gender discrimination. The 14th amendment does not have to be dedicated completely to race, but can have multiple purposes and be dedicated to gender discrimination as well. Because the 14th amendment does not mention race in its context, but mentions that basic rights shall not be stripped from citizens.

Atticus says, "we've made it [home] this way for them; they might as well learn to cope with it." whom does he mean by "them"?
Nat2105 [25]

Answer:

The quote refers to Atticus Finch’s speech, the lawyer personified in chapter 22 of the book "to kill a mockingbird" by Harper Lee published in 1960 and brought to the screen in 1962. Atticus tells this phrase to aunt Alexandria, after Jem returns crying afterwards attending to the trial of Tom Robinson -black man accused of sexual assault- who says that "a trial is not something that children should see"

Explanation:

Atticus refers to the decision to defend an African-American man, knowing that the family would be put under the microscope because the trial was against a Caucasian accuser. The reference "by them" made by Atticus, is in relation to African-American youth, who from his point of view, must learn to live in a multicultural (and sometimes aggressive) world and do it as soon as possible, for their own good, in such a way that, it is easier for them to deal with it and adapt.

The book is a reference to racial injustice and the destruction of innocence. Other issues tackled by H. Lee are class, courage, compassion and gender roles in America’s south traditionalist states. It has been taught in schools as a model to emphasize tolerance and decry prejudice.

Lee H. (1960) "to kill a mockingbird", J.B. Lippincott & Co., USA. Chapter 22.
