In writing an essay on consumption of organic food. The writer must show the advantages and disadvantages of consuming organic food.

An essay is a piece of writing in which the writer tries to persuade the reader to adopt a particular perspective. Hence an essay always discusses a particular topic in detail.

In the first paragraph of this essay, the writer has to introduce the meaning of organic foods. The writer must explain that organic foods are foods that are grown naturally such as fruits.

In the second paragraph, the writer can introduce the fact that organic foods are rich in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that are very important in the body and a person who consumes these organic foods frequently will live a healthy life. The fact they they do not contain pesticides or artificial preservatives thereby making them safe for consumption ought to be emphasized.

In the third paragraph the author may now introduce the disadvantages of consuming organic food especially such as high cost, short life span and unavailability.

The last paragraph should compare and contrast the advantages and disadvantages of eating organic foods and a conclusion should be reached.
